Ibra:North A'Sharqiyah The Directorate General of Health Services in North A'Sharqiyah Governorate organized the first Dental Radiography Conference today. The conference aimed to enhance the professional competence of healthcare practitioners and keep pace with updates in the field of dental radiography.
According to Oman News Agency, the event was held in collaboration with the Radiology Department at Ibra Hospital. It facilitated the exchange of expertise in clinical applications and covered the latest imaging technologies in dental radiography. These included panoramic imaging of the jaws and teeth, cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT), and the use of modern imaging modalities for the diagnosis and assessment of jaw fractures.
The conference also explored the role of diagnostic imaging in supporting clinical decision-making and improving diagnostic accuracy. It elaborated on strategies for infection prevention, protection against radiation, and securing patient safety.
