Muscat: Muscat Governorate is organizing a two-day forum on risk management and business durability. Themed 'Towards a Sustainable Institutional System that Enhances Governance and Service Flow', the forum aims to exchange experiences and enhance institutional integration. It focuses on the management of key files related to governance and service sustainability amid rapid modern time developments. The forum is held under the auspices of Sayyid Saud bin Hilal Al Busaidi, Governor of Muscat.
According to Oman News Agency, the forum's programme includes specialized dialogue sessions and workshops that explore national and international experiences and highlight the risks and challenges of the digital age. The events seek to establish a more sustainable institutional system that is capable of keeping pace with transformations and enhancing the comprehensive march of domestic development in the Sultanate of Oman.
Two working papers were presented on the first day of the forum. In her paper, Dr. Azza Al Sharji, a specialist in governance, risk management and compliance at Jadarat Development Academy, presented a working paper titled 'Decision-Making During Crises: From Risk Management to Corporate Sustainability'. Another specialist, Dr. Majda Al Salti, presented a working paper titled 'Documenting the Sultanate of Oman's Experience in Dealing with the COVID-19 Pandemic'. In her paper, she outlined a national project that was carried out in response to the pandemic across various sectors in Oman.
