Al batinah: The Maritime Security Center (MSC) today carried out an exercise codenamed ‘Marine Security 1/25’ in cooperation with the Royal Navy of Oman and the Royal Oman Police, represented by the Coast Guard Command. The exercise took place in the maritime area in Al Batinah.
According to Oman News Agency, the exercise commenced with a briefing outlining its various stages in accordance with the pre-designated plan, in order to achieve the intended training objectives. These include enhancing national capabilities in handling maritime incidents, simulating the exercise scenario to address operational challenges, and adopting effective procedures that ensure the application of best practices in responding to various situations.
Marine Security 1/25 aims to enhance the level of joint integrated coordination between the relevant military, security, and civilian entities, ensuring their sustained operational readiness in confronting challenges during times of crisis, disasters, and maritime threats.
The exercise saw the participation of the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology, the Environment Authority, and Petroleum Development Oman, represented by Mina Al Fahal.
