Muscat: Dr. Mohammed Said Al Ma’amari, Minister of Endowments and Religious Affairs received in his office today Dr. Hamid Shahriari, Secretary General of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought from the Islamic Republic of Iran.
During the meeting, the two sides reviewed aspects of bilateral cooperation. They also discussed means of exchanging expertise and knowledge among scholars and specialists in religious affairs.
The two sides also explored means of promoting dialogue between religions and joint action to tackle challenges facing the Islamic Nation, including extremism and misunderstanding Islam.
