Caretaker Prime Minister, Najib Mikati, on Monday received a phone call from Canada's Foreign Minister, Mélanie Joly, during which they discussed the situation in Lebanon and the developments in the region. Both stressed the necessity of halting escalation, resorting to the peaceful solutions, and implementing the international resolutions, namely Resolution 1701. Separately, Mikati met today with Ambassador of the Slovak Republic to Lebanon, Marek Varga, who came to the Grand Serail on a farewell visit upon the end of his diplomatic mission in the country. Mikati later received Lebanon's Ambassador to Switzerland, Roula Noureddine. He also met with Caretaker Minister of Agriculture, Abbas Hajj Hassan.
