At least 40 Palestinians were arrested by Israeli forces in the West Bank on Thursday, according to the Palestinian Prisoners Club.
The club said in a press release that Israeli forces have launched a campaign to arrest Palestinians for the past few days, arresting people of all ages, including women and children.
Israel has recently escalated its arrest campaigns as the army arrested 120 Palestinians three days ago, later releasing some of them, it noted. The number of arrested Palestinians has reached 5,000 since the beginning of this year, the club added.
