Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik has sent a cable of condolences to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on the death of Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Sheikh, the Grand Mufti of Saudi Arabia and Head of the Council of Senior Scholars.

According to Oman News Agency, in the cable, His Majesty the Sultan expressed his sincere sympathies to the Saudi government and people. His Majesty also prayed to Allah the Almighty to rest the deceased soul in peace in paradise and to grant his family the fortitude to bear the loss.
