Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik has sent a cable of condolences to President Droupadi Murmu of the Republic of India following a tragic passenger plane crash at Ahmedabad Airport. The aircraft was en route to the United Kingdom (UK) when the accident occurred.
According to Oman News Agency, the cable conveyed His Majesty the Sultan’s profound sorrow and deep sadness over the devastating accident that claimed the lives of most passengers of various nationalities. Several residents in the building struck by the aircraft also perished in the incident. His Majesty extended his sincere condolences and sympathy to the families of the victims.
His Majesty also expressed his wishes for the Republic of India and all nations to be safeguarded from such calamities and disasters in the future.
