Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik today issued Royal Decree No. (55/2026) concerning the ratification of an agreement between the government of the Sultanate of Oman and the government of the French Republic. This agreement pertains to work permits for spouses of employees of official missions and was signed in Paris on 14 April 2026.

According to Oman News Agency, Article (1) of the decree ratifies the agreement as per the version attached to the decree. Article (2) states that the decree shall be published in the Official Gazette and will be enforced from the date of its issue.
