Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, the Supreme Commander, visited the Medical City for Military and Security Services today, where he presided over the official inauguration of the Medical City Hospital for Military and Security Services in Muscat. His visit marked a significant milestone for the Sultanate of Oman in the development of its medical sector.
According to Oman News Agency, His Majesty was received upon arrival by HH Sayyid Shihab bin Tarik Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs and Board Chairman of the Medical City for Military and Security Services, along with Eng. Uday bin Hilal Al Maawali, Head of the Medical City. Ministers, commanders, and board members were also present to welcome His Majesty. During the visit, the Head of the City delivered a speech in honor of the Sultan.
His Majesty was presented with a visual showcase highlighting the advancements in the medical sector and the contributions of Omani doctors over the years. The presentation traced the developmen
t of the medical field in Oman, culminating in the inauguration of the Medical City Hospital, a significant national achievement for the Sultanate.
The official opening was marked by His Majesty’s Royal blessing, followed by a screening of a detailed film about the hospital’s medical facilities, specialized departments, and healthcare levels. The film emphasized the hospital’s role in enhancing the health sector in Oman.
His Majesty toured the hospital’s departments and wings, receiving briefings on its design, which adheres to the highest technical standards. The hospital provides comprehensive medical services and integrated healthcare, aligning with the vision of the Medical City and the national goals outlined in Oman Vision 2040.
The inauguration was attended by ministers, commanders of the Sultan’s Armed Forces, military and security units, and senior officials, reflecting the importance of this milestone for the nation.
