Health Ministry Celebrates Graduation of Health Assistants in Oman


Muscat: The Ministry of Health today celebrated the graduation of the 2nd and 3rd batches of the Health Assistants Programme.



According to Oman News Agency, the programme supports the Health Ministry’s strategy on consolidating the national health workforce and achieving Oman Vision 2040 goals for the health sector. The initiative aims to enhance the efficiency of competencies within the health sector and enable them to promote healthcare services in Oman.



The second and third batches of the Health Assistants Programme included more than 100 male and female graduates. The programme serves as a component of national initiatives implemented by the Ministry of Health to address the health system’s need for technical support personnel.



The three-month programme encompassed knowledge acquisition, skills in basic nursing, first aid, patient care, and handling of medical devices, along with practical training at primary and secondary healthcare institutions.



The graduation ceremony was held under the auspices of Dr. Badria Mohsen Al Rashdi, Director General of Health Services at the Ministry of Health, and attended by department heads, programme supervisors, and health and training personnel.
