Kataeb Leader Samy Gemayel received in Kataeb Headquarters in Saifi Secretary-General of Catholic Schools Father Joseph Nasr accompanied by a delegation from Private School Teachers Union. The meeting was attended by Kataeb Lawmaker Selim Sayegh and Kataeb's Head of Public Policy Legislation Lara Saade. Gemayel highlighted the importance of preserving the foundations and components for the continuity of the educational sector in both aspects: addressing the concerns of retired teachers amidst the decline in the value of their pension payments due to the depreciation of the Lebanese currency, and navigating the economic crisis currently affecting Lebanon. He considered that the optimal path to achieving a fair solution lies in intensive dialogues involving all stakeholders in the matter, including educators, educational institutions, and parent committees, saying that such dialogues would enable reaching an outcome that satisfies all parties involved.
