Muscat: Four workers died following an explosion at a coal mine in central Colombia, just a week after another blast killed nine people, Colombian authorities said. Cundinamarca official Jorge Emilio Rey posted on social media that the four miners trapped in the Las Quintas mine in the Cucunuba area had been found dead. According to Oman News Agency, the official had earlier stated that the workers became trapped after an explosion yesterday. Mine accidents are particularly common in Colombia, often due to poor ventilation in tunnels, especially in unauthorised mines.
