Muscat, Sayyid Badr Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister, held a meeting here today with Honorary Consuls of the Sultanate of Oman to Portugal, Slovakia, Zimbabwe, Manila, the Principality of Monaco, Petersburg- Pennsylvania, Milan, Munich and Lithuania.
The meeting was held within the framework of visits organized by the Foreign Ministry for Oman’s Honorary Consuls in other countries.
The meeting reviewed means of enhancing cooperation between Oman and their respective countries. It also touched on possible opportunities for partnership.
The Honorary Consuls expressed their thanks to the Foreign Ministry for inviting them and organizing their visit programme, which includes meetings with officials in the government and private sector. Those meetings introduce them to Oman’s economic directions and policies within Oman Vision 2040.
The meeting was attended by Khalid Hashil Al Musalhi, Head of the Minister’s Office Department.
Within their visit programme, the Honorary Consuls toured Oman’s pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai. They lauded the pavilion’s representation of Oman’s civilization and its future outlook, particularly in the fields of sustainability and environment, as well as the economic and tourism diversification opportunities.
