Foreign Minister, his Chinese Counterpart Discuss Danger of Continued Military Escalation, Catastrophic Humanitarian Situation in Gaza

Muscat, Sayyid Badr Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister today discussed over phone call with Wang Yi, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China, the danger of continued military escalation, as well as the catastrophic humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip and its surroundings.

The two ministers also discussed the menace of the continued Israeli aggressive military operations against unarmed civilians. They underscored the importance of the international community assuming its responsibilities in this regard in implementation of the international law and international humanitarian law.

The two ministers also reiterated the justice of the Palestinian cause and the necessity of lifting the unjust Israeli siege on the Gaza Strip, as well as establishing a humanitarian truce to provide the relief needs for residents of the Gaza Strip. They stressed the significance of realizing a two-state solution to end the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, which was also confirmed by the will of the international community based on the international law.
