Caretaker Minister of Foreign Affairs, Abdallah Bou Habib, received, Tuesday evening, a phone call from the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Josep Borrell, who is currently on a business trip to the UAE. Bou Habib briefed Borrell on the latest developments regarding the pager attack on Lebanon. He warned against the risk of escalation and dragging the entire region into war. Borrell, for his part, promised to call for European consultations to discuss the possible steps that contribute to curbing escalation and the risk of a wider war.
