Egyptian Foreign Minister Bader Abdelati said Saturday that the security and stability of the GCC countries represent Egypt’s direct interest and fall in the context of Arab national security.
The Egyptian foreign minister made the remarks while meeting with GCC Secretary-General Jasem Al-Budaiwi, the Egyptian Foreign Minister’s Spokesman Ahmad Abu Zeid said in a press statement.
He underlined that Egyptian-GCC relations are “central ones” to which the Egyptian political leadership attaches paramount significance, pointing out Cairo’s willingness to promote and cement bilateral ties.
Abdelati spoke highly of the Egyptian-GCC relationship as remarkably growing in political, economic and social domains, citing, in this regard, mutual visits by both sides’ leaders and continued consultations by ministers and senior officials.
Mounting Arab and international challenges prompt more concerted togetherness and solidarity among all Arab countries, the Egyptian foreign minister stressed.

ry-General Jasem Al-Budaiwi touted the distinguished relations between Egypt and the GCC countries at both bilateral and multilateral levels.
He pointed out that both sides are determined to achieve further successes and put joint action blueprints in place with a view to broadening the scope of bilateral relations to new horizons.
