Muscat, Delegated by His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, HH Sayyid Theyazin bin Haitham Al Said, Minister of Culture, Sports and Youth heads to the State of Qatar to attend the opening ceremony of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, due to kick off tonight at Al Bayt Stadium in Doha.

The opening event will be attended by several heads of state and their representatives.

HH Sayyid Theyazin is accompanied by an official delegation comprising Sayyid Hamoud Faisal Al Busaidi, Minister of Interior, Salim Mohammed Al Mahrouqi, Minister of Heritage and Tourism, Abdulsalam Mohammed Al Murshidi, Chairman of Oman Investment Authority (OIA), Basil Ahmed Al Rawas, Sports and Youth Undersecretary and Najeeb Yahya Al Balushi, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the State of Qatar.
