Qianxi City: The death toll after four boats capsized on a river in Qianxi City, southwest China’s Guizhou Province, rose to ten.
According to Oman News Agency, four boats capsized in sudden strong winds, plunging 84 individuals into the water. The incident resulted in 10 fatalities, while 70 people are receiving treatment and are reported to be in non-life-threatening condition.
Chinese authorities have deployed approximately 500 emergency response personnel to manage the rescue efforts. The operations are ongoing as the teams continue to address the aftermath of the incident.
Two months prior, a separate accident in Hunan Province, central China, led to the death of 11 people when a ferry collided with a hydrocarbon-cleaning vessel.
