Bahrain Hosts Groundbreaking Training on AI in Endowments


Manama: The Kingdom of Bahrain recently hosted a pioneering training programme focused on “Endowments and Artificial Intelligence,” marking the first initiative of its kind in the sector. The event was organised by Ma’arif Business Services in collaboration with the Sunni Endowments Directorate and Al Kooheji Charitable Foundation. It attracted participation from 25 endowment leaders and technical experts across Gulf and Arab nations.



According to Bahrain News Agency, Shaikh Dr. Rashid bin Mohammed bin Futais Al Hajri, Chairman of the Sunni Endowments Council, underscored the importance of leveraging artificial intelligence to enhance and sustain endowment activities. The training programme delved into various AI applications relevant to investment, asset management, resource development, marketing, governance, and ethics within the endowment sector.



The programme was met with overwhelming approval, with more than 96% of participants expressing satisfaction. It featured workshops that explored smart endowment projects and showcased international examples of digital transformation.



The event concluded with several key recommendations, including the development of smart endowment platforms, the creation of advanced AI investment programmes, the integration of blockchain technology, and the establishment of partnerships with universities and research centers to foster innovation in endowment management.
