The Arab and International Relations Council welcomed the signing of a declaration on forming a national reconciliation government by Palestinian factions in Beijing, China. In a statement on Saturday, the Council's Chairman; Kuwait's Mohammad Al-Saqer, called on all factions to set aside their political differences for the benefit of Palestine and its people. He also called for unity to fight the Israeli occupation's forced displacement strategy and genocide actions in the Gaza Strip and West Bank. The Palestinian factions signed the agreement on July 23, aiming for a unity government that includes all factions under the Palestine Liberation Organization; the sole legal representative of the Palestinian people.
