Gaza - Ma'an - The Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, announced on Monday that it had managed to blow up part of a tunnel with Israeli engineering forces while pumping explosive gas into it in the Tel al-Sultan neighborhood west of Rafah. The brigades said in a statement: "Our fighters were able to blow up part of a tunnel with enemy engineering forces while they were pumping explosive gas into it, which caused a reverse explosion towards the enemy forces in the Tel al-Sultan neighborhood west of Rafah city in the southern Gaza Strip." It also reported in another statement that a Merkava 4 tank was targeted with a 105 Al-Yassin shell and that a suicide operation was carried out using a Shawaaz explosive device in the Al-Furqan neighborhood in Tel al-Sultan.
