Muscat: Al Noor Association for the Blind announced that it would organize a cultural forum from 19 to 23 October 2025 under the theme ‘Innovation Beyond Sighting’. The forum brought together more than 100 participants from 14 Arab countries.
According to Oman News Agency, Dr. Raed bin Abdul Hafeez Al Farsi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al Noor Association for the Blind and head of the forum’s organizing committee, stated during a press conference that this forum is the first event of its kind in the Sultanate of Oman. It brings together a significant number of blind participants who will converge in Muscat to showcase their potential in literature, theatre, music, and visual arts. The event will also include intellectual symposiums and training workshops.
The event also marked the launch of the Association’s visual identity at its headquarters in Bausher. Al Farsi explained that the forum aims to highlight the status of the blind in the Arab cultural and artistic landscape. It seeks to establish a communication network that keeps the blind informed and enables them to express their talents and convert culture into a means of integration and empowerment.
