Al Hallaniyat Health Center in Dhofar Governorate Opens to Serve Local Community

Dhofar: The Ministry of Health celebrated today the opening of the Al Hallaniyat Health Center in the Wilayat of Shalim and Al Hallaniyat Islands in Dhofar Governorate under the patronage of Dr. Ahmed Mohsen Al Ghassani, Head of Dhofar Municipality. The total cost of the project exceeds RO 1.3 million.

According to Oman News Agency, the Center spans a total area of 8,000 square meters with a building area of 861 square meters. It includes two general clinics providing primary healthcare services and medical examinations. Facilities also feature an examination and consultation room equipped with modern tools for accurate diagnosis and treatment, an observation room with a medical bed for emergency cases, as well as radiology and sterilization rooms. Additionally, a dental clinic is available for oral and dental care.

The Center further includes a maternity unit to ensure safe care for mothers and newborns, alongside a fully equipped maternal and child health ward to support women’s and children’s health on the island. Other amenities encompass a medical laboratory, pharmacy, medicine storage room, and reception and waiting areas for both men and women.

The opening of this Center addresses the challenges faced by the local population in accessing integrated healthcare services due to geographical isolation. The provision of modern medical facilities is essential to ensure a better quality of life for the community. This initiative aligns with the government’s commitment to providing healthcare services across all parts of Oman.
