Salalah: The Academic Council of the University of Technology and Applied Sciences (UTAS) convened its seventh meeting for the 2024/2025 academic year at the university’s Salalah branch. The council focused on a range of academic and technical issues, including the approval of the results for 2,500 spring graduates.
According to Oman News Agency, the council reviewed the progress of the university’s inclusion in the QS World University Rankings project. Discussions also covered regulations and requirements pertinent to academic staff positions within the university.
The meeting was chaired by Dr. Said Hamad Al Rubai’e, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Technology and Applied Sciences and Chairman of the UATAS Academic Board. The council also examined updates on the General Foundation Program, emphasizing its implementation timeline and the approval of its documentation for the 2025/2026 academic year.
