Oman Launches Joint Promotional Tourism Campaign with Visa

London:The Ministry of Heritage and Tourism of Oman has initiated a collaborative promotional tourism campaign alongside the global company Visa and a national travel operator. The initiative aims to highlight luxury tourism experiences and attract high-spending tourists to the Sultanate of Oman.

According to Oman News Agency, the campaign was unveiled at Oman's pavilion during the World Travel Market London 2026 (WTM London 2026). The launch was attended by Sayyid Ibrahim bin Said Al Busaidi, Minister of Heritage and Tourism, as part of the Ministry's ongoing efforts to enhance digital tourism promotion and expand international partnerships.

This exclusive campaign targets Visa cardholders globally, focusing on tourists interested in luxury travel, adventure tourism, and marine activities unique to Oman. It utilizes advanced data analytics by Visa's specialized teams to identify and target segments most suited for Oman's tourism offerings, aiming to convert interest into actual bookings.

The campaign promotes a selection of tourism packages and programs through the "Experience Oman" app and platform, where users can explore and book destinations directly using the national travel operator's Digital Booking System. This initiative aligns with the Ministry's strategic approach to leveraging modern technology in marketing campaigns, supporting high-value tourism experiences, and enhancing the tourism sector's contribution to the national economy.

In conjunction with its participation in the WTM, the Ministry also launched a digital transformation program known as "Oman Tourism Hub." This platform aims to empower partners in both local and international markets to promote Oman and develop tourism products that capitalize on the country's diverse attractions and experiences. The platform features an AI-powered trip planner, a virtual assistant named "Dalila," and provides e-training courses, webinars, and newsletters, available in eight languages and covering 26 countries to broaden engagement with target markets.
