New York:Japan announced that it has reached an agreement with the United States on a semiconductor manufacturing project in New York, with investments totaling nearly $21 billion.
According to Oman News Agency, this project is part of the investment initiatives under the bilateral trade agreement concluded between Japan and the United States last year, which provided Japan with US tariff exemptions.
The initiative aims to strengthen the resilience of semiconductor supply chains by expanding the production of electronic chips used in various sectors, including automotive, industrial machinery, smartphones, and artificial intelligence data centers.
