European Stock Markets Gain Amid Lower Oil Prices and Renewed Diplomatic Efforts

Muscat: European stock indexes opened higher today, supported by lower oil prices as diplomatic efforts in West Asia resumed, alongside the corporate earnings season and improved economic expectations, boosting market performance from the start of trading.

According to Oman News Agency, among the major European markets, France's CAC 40 index in Paris rose 0.16 percent, while Germany's DAX index in Frankfurt gained 0.65 percent. Italy's Milan stock exchange index climbed 0.59 percent, while Spain's Madrid stock exchange index advanced 0.63 percent. Amsterdam's index rose 0.31 percent, Stockholm's index gained 0.60 percent, and Britain's FTSE 100 index in London approached its record level, rising 0.40 percent.
