Muscat: Sayyid Saud bin Hilal Al Busaidi, Minister of Culture, Sports and Youth, has stated that grooming the Omani citizen is a fundamental component of comprehensive, sustainable development.

According to Oman News Agency, during the launch of the 3rd edition of the 2026 Military Discipline Programme, Sayyid Saud emphasized the Ministry's dedication to investing in the youth as part of a strategic partnership with the Ministry of Defence and the Ministry of Education. The programme aims to instill values of loyalty, national belonging, and principles of national responsibility, aligning with the goals of Oman Vision 2040.

Sayyid Saud elaborated that the programme provides an integrated system combining military training, sports skills, and general knowledge to shape student personalities, enhance discipline, and promote a culture of resourcefulness and responsibility.

The minister noted that this year, the programme benefits 1,000 students from various governorates across the Sultanate of Oman.
