Rabat: The Ministry of Justice and Legal Affairs of Oman has signed a memorandum of understanding with Morocco's Ministry of Justice to boost cooperation in training and qualifying lawyers, legal professionals, and experts. This agreement underscores the commitment to mutual interests between the two nations.
According to Oman News Agency, the agreement was signed by Dr. Abdullah Mohammed Al Saidi, Minister of Justice and Legal Affairs for Oman, and Abdellatif Ouahbi, Minister of Justice for Morocco. The signing ceremony took place in Rabat, Morocco, and was attended by Khalid Salim Bamakhalaf, Oman's Ambassador to Morocco, alongside other officials from both countries.
The memorandum outlines the execution of joint programs aimed at improving the efficiency of national legal professionals. It focuses on enhancing the quality of judicial and legal work through professional exchanges, training programs, seminars, and workshops.
Dr. Al Saidi highlighted that the memorandum serves as a framework for strengthening judicial and legal cooperation, paving the way for the exchange of specialized expertise. He emphasized that this initiative will aid in developing professional competencies and improving the quality of judicial and legal services, benefiting both nations.
During the visit, Dr. Al Saidi also engaged in official meetings with Moroccan judicial officials. These discussions revolved around enhancing cooperation and exploring opportunities to develop joint legal and judicial programs that align with the shared goals of Oman and Morocco.
