Muscat: The State Council's Office today held the 5th meeting of its 3rd annual sitting during the Eighth Term. Held under the auspices of Sheikh Abdulmalik bin Abdullah Al Khalili, Chairman of the State Council, the meeting discussed studies on developing government performance and entrepreneurship.
According to Oman News Agency, the discussion included a study submitted by the Council's Economic and Financial Committee on developing the Government Performance Management System in line with the objectives of Oman Vision 2040. The study focuses on advancing the government planning methodology, creating an integrated institutional framework for performance management, enhancing spending efficiency, boosting productivity, achieving sustainability, and improving the quality of government services.
The study was presented by Dr. Dhafir bin Awadh Al Shanfari, Chairman of the Economic and Financial Committee, and Mohammed bin Hassan Al Shuhhi, Rapporteur of the Committee. The State Council's Office also reviewed a study titled 'Analysis of the Business Environment in the Sultanate of Oman, Practical Steps to Promote Entrepreneurship'. This study, submitted by the Council's Special Committee, aims to assess the current status of the business environment across various sectors and establishments.
The study identified the main challenges faced by business establishments and entrepreneurs. It was presented by Abbas bin Ali Al Humaid, Chairman of the Special Committee, and Mohammed bin Abu Bakr Al Ghassani, Rapporteur of the Committee.
