Muscat: Muscat Municipality today signed several agreements for the implementation of new service and development projects in the Wilayats of A'Seeb, Bausher, and Al Amerat. This move comes as part of its plans aimed at developing infrastructure and public facilities and improving the quality of life for citizens and residents across the Governorate of Muscat.

According to Oman News Agency, the agreements include a project for the preparation of consultancy studies and designs for the development of the industrial area in South Al Maabilah, the Wilayat of A'Seeb. The project aims to develop a comprehensive master plan for the area, including the upgrading of the internal road network, enhancing the efficiency of infrastructure and public services, strengthening road safety elements, and improving the urban landscape through afforestation and beautification works.

The project is expected to contribute to supporting economic, commercial, and industrial activity, as well as creating a more efficient and sustainable business environment aligned with the requirements of urban growth in the area.

The agreements also include the implementation of a park project opposite the "Fun Zone" commercial center in the Al Qurm area of the Wilayat of Bausher, consistent with the Municipality's directives to increase green spaces and provide modern recreational and community facilities.

The park will feature a shaded main pedestrian walkway, expansive green areas, a multi-purpose interactive plaza, as well as a caf© with a panoramic view. The project also includes a range of service and recreational amenities catering to the needs of various community groups, with the application of best environmental practices and sustainability elements in the project's design and execution.

Additionally, Muscat Municipality signed an agreement for the implementation of Al Amerat Residential Park project, whose design is inspired by Omani nature and the terrain of local wadis, incorporating elements derived from Omani architectural and cultural identity throughout its various details.

The project aims to create a diverse open space that provides an attractive environment for residents and visitors, encompassing recreational and sports facilities, as well as areas for social and cultural activities, serving different age groups and enhancing community cohesion and healthy lifestyles.

These projects reflect Muscat Municipality's commitment to fostering modern, efficient, and sustainable urban environments through strategic investment in infrastructure, public facilities, and open spaces. They, thereby, enhance the governorate's attractiveness and quality of life, while supporting urban, economic, and social development goals across the wilayats of the Governorate of Muscat.
