Beirut: Israeli airstrikes targeting residential homes in southern Lebanon have resulted in multiple fatalities and injuries.

According to Oman News Agency, the National News Agency of Lebanon reported that hostile warplanes conducted several airstrikes early this morning on the Al-Arab neighborhood in the town of Deir Al-Zahrani, leading to a number of fatalities. Rescue teams worked to recover several bodies, while a number of individuals remain trapped under the rubble, the agency stated. The airstrikes targeted residential homes whose occupants were asleep at the time. The aggression also caused several injuries.

Earlier today, the Israeli military issued an urgent evacuation order to all residents south of the Zahrani River.
