Havana: The governments of Brazil, Mexico, and Spain have expressed deep concern over the worsening humanitarian crisis confronting the Cuban people, urging immediate measures to alleviate widespread suffering.
According to Oman News Agency, in a joint statement issued by Spain's foreign ministry, the three nations called on all relevant parties to refrain from any actions that could further erode living conditions or breach international law. They reiterated their commitment to a coordinated humanitarian response aimed at mitigating the crisis's impact.
The statement stressed the importance of upholding international law and the principles of the UN Charter, including respect for state sovereignty and territorial integrity, and the peaceful resolution of disputes.
The three countries also reaffirmed their support for human rights, democratic values, and pluralism, calling for serious and constructive dialogue under international law to achieve a lasting settlement to the crisis.
They underlined the need to enable the Cuban people to freely determine their own future through a political process that respects their will and responds to their aspirations.
