Economy Ministry Organizes Symposium on Proactive Monitoring System for Regulatory Bodies

Muscat: Represented by Oman Vision 2040 Implementation Follow-up Unit, the Ministry of Economy today organized a symposium on the proactive monitoring system at regulatory bodies.

According to Oman News Agency, the symposium was held in cooperation with A'Sharqiyah University under the auspices of Dr. Khamis Saif Al Jabri, Minister of Economy, and attended by specialists and representatives of government departments, private establishments, and academic institutions. The symposium was themed 'Towards a smart regulatory system that enhances good governance' and aimed to provide support to enable regulatory bodies to adopt advanced methods of proactive monitoring and analysis.

The awareness raised during the symposium contributes to enhancing preventive oversight, minimizing risks, preserving national resources, and consolidating the principles of transparency and integrity. This initiative aims to enhance public confidence in the efficiency of the national audit system, thereby meeting the objectives of the Oman Vision 2040.

In addition to members of regulatory bodies, the symposium addressed decision-makers, public and executive policymakers in government units, private sector establishments, and personnel operating in the fields of internal auditing, risk management, performance monitoring, and judicial and administrative inspection.
