Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik held an audience at Al Baraka Palace with Sergey Shoigu, Secretary of the Russian Security Council. The meeting underscored the mutual commitment of Oman and Russia to strengthen ties, particularly in security and military areas.

According to Oman News Agency, during the audience, Sergey Shoigu conveyed the greetings and best wishes from President Vladimir Putin to His Majesty the Sultan and the people of Oman. In response, His Majesty expressed his greetings and best wishes to President Putin and the Russian populace.

The discussions focused on enhancing cooperation between Oman and Russia to bolster regional security and stability. The meeting also addressed several issues of mutual concern, reflecting a shared interest in maintaining peace and security. The audience was attended by Gen. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Nu’amani, Minister of the Royal Office.
