Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik today issued three Royal decrees, marking significant advancements in international relations for the Sultanate of Oman.
According to Oman News Agency, Royal Decree No. (97/2025) ratifies an agreement with the Republic of Azerbaijan on the mutual waiving of visas for holders of diplomatic, special, and service passports. This agreement, signed in Muscat on 26 October 2025, is expected to facilitate easier travel for officials between the two nations.
In addition, Royal Decree No. (98/2025) confirms an agreement with the Republic of Belarus on mutual visa waivers. This accord, signed in Minsk on 6 October 2025, will allow for streamlined travel procedures between Oman and Belarus, potentially enhancing diplomatic and economic exchanges.
Furthermore, Royal Decree No. (99/2025) ratifies another important agreement with the Republic of Belarus concerning the international road transport of goods. Also signed in Minsk on 6 October 2025, this agreement is aimed at improving the logistics and transportation sectors, thereby boosting trade between the two countries.
All three decrees stipulate that they be published in the Official Gazette and come into force from their date of issue, signaling immediate implementation of these international agreements.
