Beirut: President of the Republic, General Joseph Aoun, congratulated the General Directorate of the State’s Public Security, its leadership, officers, and personnel, marking the 40th anniversary of its establishment, commending the role it plays in carrying out the tasks assigned to it, based on applicable laws.

According to National News Agency – Lebanon, Aoun highlighted the development recorded in the performance of State Security, attributing it to the leadership’s dedication in ensuring that this security institution serves as the vigilant eye on the security and safety of the Lebanese people. The President emphasized the directorate’s commitment to protecting public interests, especially within public administrations, by actively combating corruption, eliminating bribery, and preventing any violations of rights or instances of blackmail during transaction processes.

The President further stated that the State Security General Directorate has demonstrated its ability to enforce laws impartially, without discrimination or favoritism. He expressed confidence that the future will bring more achievements in the directorate’s efforts, ensuring that Lebanese administrations prioritize serving the citizens of Lebanon.
