Doha: SOHAR Port and Freezone signed an agreement with the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism, under which the Ministry will loan 266 archaeological artifacts to SOHAR Port and Freezone for display in the company’s administrative building. This initiative is part of enhancing integration between economic development and the preservation of cultural and civilizational heritage.
According to Oman News Agency, these archaeological pieces were discovered and retrieved during expansion and development operations in the Sohar Free Zone by experts from the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism. They cover different epochs of Omani archaeological history within thematic chapters that tell stories of trade, crafts, and social life.
