Muscat: The Arab Gulf Cup Football Association's Secretariat General has announced the postponement of the 2025/2026 AGCFF Gulf Club Champions League. The competition, originally slated to commence on September 16, will now begin on September 30. This decision came after the competitions committee approved a request from the tournament's sponsoring company for a delay. According to Oman News Agency, the postponement was deemed necessary due to the limited time remaining before the tournament's original start date. The organizing committee requires additional time to complete all technical and organizational preparations. This move is aimed at maintaining the tournament's reputation as one of the region's leading competitions, which enjoys substantial fan engagement across the Gulf countries. The association reiterated its dedication to delivering a successful tournament this season by ensuring all necessary elements for technical and organizational success are in place. It also highlighted that all working committees are actively continuing their preparations to ensure the event is conducted in the best possible manner.
