Muscat: The Royal Navy of Oman (RNO) today marked its Annual Day, which falls on 3 November every year. The ceremony was held at the military parade ground in Said Bin Sultan Naval Base under the patronage of HH Sayyid Shihab bin Tarik Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs. It included the graduation of general education diploma officers' course, university officers' course and limited service officers' course. According to Oman News Agency, during the ceremony, the chief guest presented awards for top graduates. Various military and musical shows were staged by the parade column that depicted the progress witnessed by the RNO under the reign of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, the Supreme Commander. The ceremony was attended by some Royal Family members, ministers, commanders of the Sultan Armed Forces (SAF), military and security units, members of the State Council, senior officers at SAF, military and security departments, Military Attachés at embassies of the Arab and foreign countries and some RNO personnel.
