Talal Mohamed Al Mannai, Shura Council, and Bahrain's parliamentary group member, participated in the Women Parliamentarians' meeting of the ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly (WAIPA) held in Vientiane, Laos, from October 17-23, as part of the 45th ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly (AIPA) General Assembly. During his remarks, Al Mannai highlighted the strong support Bahraini women receive from His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, leading to increased female participation in politics and decision-making. He commended the government's efforts under the leadership of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, in empowering women in leadership roles. He highlighted the Supreme Council for Women's (SCW) initiatives, led by Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Consort of HM the King and President of SCW, which have positioned Bahraini women as leaders across various sectors.
