Turkish Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya declared on Wednesday that the 5.9 degree quake that jolted the southern Malatya province injured 187 people. The minister, speaking at an impromptu news conference in Malatya in the aftermath of the tremors, said three buildings partially collpased in the eqarthquake. He added that 183 people were injured, including 43 who remained under medical examination, while the others returned home after taking the necessary medical treatment at the hospitals.
