Caretaker Minister of Industry, MP George Boujikian, on Thursday met with Chinese Ambassador to Lebanon, Qian Minjian, with whom he discuss bilateral relations between Beirut and Beijing. Boujikian praised China's "economic and political support for Lebanon in international forums" and expressed gratitude for China's ongoing efforts to assist Lebanon and its people. During the meeting, Boujikian highlighted the devastation caused by the recent Israeli aggression, urging China, as a permanent member of the UN Security Council, to intervene to halt hostilities and protect civilians from the violence. Boujikian also emphasized Lebanon's urgent need for electricity generators, particularly for equipping shelters housing displaced persons, and appealed to China to provide Lebanon with these necessary supplies.
