Arab League's Secretary-General Ahmad Aboul Gheit warned on Wednesday of the dangerous Israeli occupation escalation in the region, saying that Israel practices a "reckless policy" without foresight of the dire consequences that could affect the region because of its actions. He stressed in a statement that assassinations are acts that violates international law, and continuing them is a blatant disregard for international norms and the rules that regulate relations between countries. The international community is required to exert the necessary pressure on the Israeli occupation to prevent a total "regional explosion" due to the policies used by its authorities, added Aboul Gheit.
