The African Development Bank Group's Board of Directors has approved a loan of $260.4 million to the Democratic Republic of Congo to support the development of food value chains and the agricultural transformation programme. Serge N'Guessan, the Bank's Director General for Central Africa, said that the African Development Bank is a strategic partner for the Democratic Republic of Congo, whose top authorities have prioritised agriculture for national development. This project, approved by the Bank's Board of Directors, will enable the effective implementation of the national food and agriculture charter, which is part of the country's national vision.
