Manama, Ali Ahmed Al Derazi, President of the National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR), received Mazen Shaqoura, the Regional Representative for the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) of the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights., during an official visit to Bahrain. Al Derazi highlighted NIHR's significant achievements, including efforts to enhance human rights and improve oversight mechanisms. The meeting also addressed various issues of mutual interest and discussed cooperation between NIHR and the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, particularly in training programmes aimed at developing the human rights framework.
