With the results, Venezuela and Ecuador advanced to the knock off stages in contrast to Mexico and Jamaica both bidding farewell to the tournament. The first matchup saw Venezuela thrashing Jamaica with three goals, which came through Eduard Bello, Salomon Dondon, and Eric Ramirez in the 49, 56, 85 minutes of the match. The second match saw Ecuador advancing to further in the tournament via a draw with Mexico, the first qualified to the knock off rounds while latter was eliminated due to goal difference.
